The Russian President’ Third Annual International Weightlifting Cup

From November 21 to November 23 in the territory of Arena Mytishchi Sports Palace took place the Russian President’ Third Annual International Weightlifting Cup, namely The World Best Weight-Lifter, with representatives of 20 countries.

Competitions took place in five weight categories: 94 kilograms, 105 kilograms, over 105 kilograms (men), and 75 kilograms, over 75 kilograms (women).

The winner in tournament’s team classification receives the Challenge Cup. Smaller copies of the cup are handed over to winner athletes in each weight category. The Cup was founded by D. A. Medvedev's order dated February 3, 2011. The Kremlin Cup represents the sculptural image of an athlete in the kneeling pose, holding on the shoulders a plate. On the plate is placed the image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation under which there is the inscription "Heavy Athletics Kremlin Cup". The athlete’s figure is made from gold plated bronze and is fixed against the curved leaf made from silver plated metallic alloy and decorated with circles. The athlete’s figure is situated on a multilayered oak pedestal with gold color plates with engraved names of victorious teams and years of Kremlin Cup award.

• Gerasimenko Alexander Andreevich - Chairman of Euro-Asian Regional Weightlifting Association, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Russian Weightlifting Federation.
• Budargin Oleg Mikhaylovich - Chairman of the Board of JSC FSC EES.
• Syrtsov Sergey Aleksandrovich - President of Russian Weightlifting Federation.
• Bolotin Mikhail Grigoryevich - President and the co-owner of Tractor Plants Concern.
• Rybak Andrey Elekovich - Vice-president of Russian Weightlifting Federation for International Cooperation.
• Krokhin Kirill Aleksandrovich - Director General of JSC Proyekt-byuro.

The category over 105 kg was won by weightlifter from Egypt who has lifted one kilogram more than Russian Gennady Muratov.

Russian national team won the President’s Cup, having won victories in three categories: over 75 kg (women) - Tatyana Kashirina with a world record (the sum of two approaches — 334 kg), (men) – up to 94 kg champion was Ramazan Rasulov and up to 105 kg - Maxim Sheyko.
