Congratulations with the Victory Day – Chekhov!

The 9 Th of May the Victory Day – is a key and most dramatic date!  Our victory in the Great Patriotic War is the heroic deed of our soldiers and glory of our people.  9 th of May - the V-Day  - shall always be  the eternal, loved by all, cherished, and at the same time tragically and sorrowful which shall always commemorate the most beautiful and light holiday in our minds, not influenced by any changes registered in the historical evidence.

May 9 th, 1945. We are moving further and further from this date. But we always keep in our minds and shall remember what great price has been paid for it by our grandfathers. The Victory Day – how long was the way to pass to reach it…

The V-Day holiday – May 9 th –i.e. one of the key holidays in our countryо, the most tragic, the most beautiful and touchy. Most surely, on this day citizens of all-round the country gather together b at Eternal Flame are for laying wreathes, remembrance of the defenders and heroes, one minute's silence in remembrance of them, and to be able to say THANK YOU … another time. We thank you for our peaceful life, our children and grandchildren, for their happiness! Thank you, hats off and memory eternal. There is hardly a family which has not been touched by war. Some families sent their grandfathers to war, some – the father, son, and husband. From generation to generation we tell stories of their noble heroic deeds, commemorate them. We pass our grandfathers medals to our children and tell stories associated with them. This one id for courage, and that one – for bravery… It is our history, our ancestry, the history of our country. We come to the Eternal Flame on 9 May together with our children and tell them about this holiday, the Great Victory day, and the day of our victory over fascism.

Final preparations for the 9 th of May holiday in Chekhov are coming to the end. The soviet square is decorated with holiday dressing.

The holiday program of the event promises to be well-packed and unforgettable. Starting from 11.45 the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and peacekeeping soldiers shall march in a solemn parade through the streets of Chekhov. The core event to be held traditionally on the Soviet Square shall be solemn Victory Parade of Chekhov garrison military personnel in a VICTORIOUS LINE-UP expected at 12.00.

At 12.30, an hour of memory shall be held at the monument to Tank, the memory meeting NOTHING BUT ETERNAL MEMORY – at the Memorial of Military Glory. After laying wreaths at the monuments, the participants of the holiday shall stream to the Bed of honour at the Town cemetery, where the funeral service on the dead who passed away during the Great Patriotic War shall be done.

Our porridge that’s good to eat - gives strength to our soldiers – during this action our veterans shall eat the porridge and have military 100 gram at 13.50. Field kitchen will be arranged on the square. War-time songs shall be performed for the guests by SKAZ Russian folk orchestra and Podmoskovny souvenir Russian song ensemble. From 15.00 SPRING OF VICTORY solemn concert shall start on the central stage. Moscow artists shall perform a show-program. Best creative teams of Chekhov district shall perform for the guests of this event.

On the square, representatives of print media shall arrange beneficial price subscription for the districts inhabitants. Additionally to subscription campaign, Moskovsky Komsomoletz newspaper shall arrange its concert program to let the people enjoy the music from 17 to 18 o` clock. Consumer goods Trade Fair shall also be deployed on the Soviet Square. For the youngest participants there will be - "Fun merry-go-round" - amusement rides. Pilgrim theatre group shall present its entertainment program together with "Zabava" theatre-show. At 19.00 – a one-minute silence.

Then shall come the term of the evening holiday program VICTORY SONGS. Chekhov-citizens and guests from the regions shall be celebrated by the professional Moscow artists show.

Chekhov municipal district Head A.A. Slobodin shall address the audience with his V-Day congratulatory speech from the main stage at 22.50, after it – V-Day holiday salute.
