II Pokrovsky Charitable Military History Festival!

II Pokrovsky Charitable Military History Festival shall be held on June 15 2013 in the village of Yakovlevo of the new territory of Moscow. The festival is of a charitable nature and aimed to cultural and patriotic purpose for youth and children.

All funds raised on the events shall be directed to Orthodox children’s social rehabilitation center POKROV support, situated in the village of Yakovlevo.

This year the festival is dedicated to the 70 th anniversary of one of the key battles of the Great patriotic War – the battle of Kursk (5 July - 23 August 1943) having made the turning point in the war. Festival guests shall witnessed two military periods: military history reenactment of the Great Patriotic War 1941 - 1945 and Patriotic War 1812.Military orchestra, music bands shall take part in festival. At the end of the festival there will be arranged meetings with the members of the military and historic clubs, providing for the possibility of familiarization with military ammunition and armament. Field kitchen shall be provided for the visitors. There will be a lot of stuff to look at the fair, such as goods of local manufactures, souvenirs.

Festival program:

• 9.00 – 11.30 arrival of the participants, deploying of tent camp, fair ground, field kitchen.
• 12.00 – 12.30 call-over of the guest and participants.
• 12.30 – 13.00 festival opening. Greeting of Desenovsloe rural settlement administration addressed to managers and participants.
• 13.00 – 13.10 Parade marches of military and historic clubs supported by the comments of the club leaders.
• 13.10 – 13.40 Military history reenactment of the Great Patriotic War 1941 – 194 battles.
• 13.40 – 14.00 Charitable auction in favor of the Pokroskiy orphanage.
• 14.00 – 14.30 Military history reenactment of the Patriotic War 1812.
• 14.30 – 15.00 Acquaintance with military and historic clubs members, familiarization with military ammunition and armament.
• 15.00 – 16.00 Concert dedicated to 70-th anniversary of the battle of Kursk in the great Patriotic War. Fair walks, field kitchen. The festive fireworks to finalize the event.
