RIZOMA.TIME Revolutionary Show

On November 15, 2013 in Moscow time has stopped. Anatoly Zalevsky, one of the best-known equilibrists of the planet, the owner of the highest world award of the GOLD CLOWN Circus Art Festival (circus Oscar) in Monte-Carlo for the first time in Russia presented on the Barvikha Luxury Village Concert Hall stage his RIZOMA.TIME revolutionary show. In terms of body plasticity he together with a troupe consisting of fifteen acrobats and equilibrists narrated a metaphorical history about the obsessive power of love, capable to stop even relentless current of time.

For one evening the Barvikha Luxury Village Concert Hall stage became a huge workshop in which two engineers will invent a machine able to control time. Its most important detail is faultlessly exact mechanical heart. Under control of inventors the time machine regularly accomplishes its function. However having started their brainchild once again, engineers suddenly lose control over it. By will power mechanical heart stops time and learns love, and the love can't be operated.

Keynote of performance is philosophical reflection on the person as a detail of the huge universal mechanism – the time. "The today's "machine" world tries to suppress the person, his identity, - Zalevsky explains. - As if programmed, a person constantly and unconsciously moves on the prescribed vicious circle. However sooner or later the person proves himself emotionally. Having chosen love, he stops time and stops being a mechanism. Time is not imperiously over love. Love can't be operated. It is out of mechanics. Having made love to his main engine, the person is born anew. But in order that this regeneration takes place, it is necessary to devote a lot of energies. My show is about it all".

Zalevsky bewitches by idea without speaking any words. It realizes fundamental subject of his performance through synthesis of theater, choreography and circus art – an evolutionary genre of SOUL CIRCUS which has become carte-de-visite of the glorified equilibrist. Complicated acrobatic skits developed specially for this show tell without words the audience an unusual love story, opening souls of characters, their experiences and emotion only by human body language. The subject line is supported by reprises of comic characters appearing from time to time on the stage. The new full version of legendary turn of Anatoly Zalevsky - balancing on hands on slippery surface under the name DREAM, used by Circus du Soleil in the most expensive acrobatic performance – ZARKANA, becomes the culmination of show.

In the show are used difficult mobile scenery, large-scale video projection and colorful lighting effects which create feeling of multidimensionality of the space. To the viewer it seems that action at the same time happens in several dimensions.
