FINNTROLL

On October 19, 2013 FINNTROLL arranged in the Moscow HALL club a real feast in honor of release of their new album BLODSVEPT. It was a mega-show featured by Finnish musicians which astounds and surprised all guests and left grandiose impressions.

Finntroll is a folk - metal group from Helsinki, Finland. They combine the black metal and folk metal elements. Finntroll’s texts generally are in Swedish. According to the group members Vreth and Skrymer, they took the name from an old Finnish legend where Swedish priests have arrived to Finland, were met by people looking like savages and who later on killed almost all the delegation arrived. The persons who have come back narrated to everybody the legend of the Finnish trolls. Lyrics generally deal with legends and fairy tales about the fictional Troll King and fight of trolls against Christians.

The first three full-scale albums contain quite short but fierce songs about two persons who constantly get involved in trouble with trolls with the purpose to attack and beat spiteful followers of the king of trolls.

• Samu Beast Dominator Ruotsalainen - drummer (from 1998 to date);
• Henri Trollhorn" Sorvali - keyboard player (from 1998 to date; studio only from 2004);
• Sami Tundra Uusitalo - bass player (from 1998 to date);
• Mikael Ruta Karlbom - guitarist (from 2003 to date);
• Mathias Vreth Lillmans - vocalist, texts (from 2006 to date).

Today the group discography includes six full-scale albums and two EPs. Their latest album Blodsvept was released on March 22, 2013 and with it they will arrive in Moscow to conquer the Russian audience with their music.

Power of heavy music and extreme vocal with humppa rhythms - related to jazz and very fast foxtrot when feet break into a dance - is that legendary humppa metal with which FINNTROLL 15 years already dish it out worldwide!
