Festive Welcome to the Financial University First-Year Students

On September 1, 2013 at the TsSKA PTC took place the festive event "Welcome to First-Year Students - 2013". By convention it was opened by M. A. Eskindarov, Financial University Rector. Congratulating first-year students, he noted that knowledge and experience gained at studentship will help them throughout the life, and urged the first-year student to be diligent in study.

Several prominent persons came to congratulate first-year students and to wish them success in training: A.V. Drozdov, Chairman of the Pension Fund Board of the Russian Federation; R. E. Artyukhin, Head of Federal Treasury of the Russian Federation; V.A. Dmitriyev, Chairman of Vnesheconombank; Aniset Gabriel Kochofa, the Ambassador of Benin in Russia; and M. D. Prokhorov, well-known businessman and politician.

During the gala concert F.N. Yurchikhin, pilot-cosmonaut and Hero of the Russian Federation from the International Space Station wished to first-year students of Financial University successful study and interesting campus life.

V.A. Dmitriyev, Chairman of Board of Vnesheconombank and the Dean of International Economic Relations Faculty in his address especially spoke about importance of friendship and mutual aid, having noted that the Financial University always was famous for its warm and family environment, and M. D. Prokhorov emphasized that "to help the classmates is a tradition of the university".

Then one more well-known Financial University graduate A.V. Drozdov, Chairman of Board of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation mounted the rostrum. In his congratulation he noted that studentship is a very important period in everyone’s life; after all during these years arise real friendly relations for the rest of life.

During the concert the first-year students could get acquainted with talented "university family": the best performances were presented by vocal studio and chorus of the Financial University, FRAPPE dancing studio and senior students. And CHELSEA group performance became a musical surprise for all event guests.

As tradition demands, at the end of the festivity Financial University symbols were solemnly presented to first-year students: Key of Knowledge, Student ID card and Student Achievement Sheet.

Welcome to First-Year Students -2013 event came to the end with solemn performance of the Financial University Anthem, and the yesterday's applicant s became credit students.

Then the first-year students departed to university faculties where student ID cards and student achievement sheet s were handed over to them in a festive atmosphere.
